BOOK NOWQ Will you learn a special request(s) for our wedding ceremony?
A I love to make the musicical part of your wedding as personalised as possible and I’m delighted to play songs that mean something to you as you celebrate such a wonderful occasion. Most of the time, I’ve played the song many times before and if I haven’t, it usually doesn’t take me too long to learn it (so long as you’re not requesting something like La Campanella by Lizst! I’ll have to pass on that one).
Q We are wanting to book you for our drinks reception but fear that we may have to cancel depending on Covid 19 restrictions. If we pay a deposit, can we transfer it to an alternative date if our wedding cannot go ahead?
A This is a common enquiry at the moment. All deposits made to secure a date are usually non-refundable. However, given the current uncertainties I am making an exception so any couple that needs to postpone or reschedule a date they have booked due to Covid19 restrictions may transfer their deposit to the new date. If I am unavailable for the new date, I will refund the deposit within 28 days of request.
Q We would like to book you for our wedding drinks reception but there is no piano in our venue. Do you provide a piano?
A I provide a professional electronic stage piano and speaker or PA system (depending on the size of the venue). Although this isn’t a real piano, it is extremely close to the real thing and sounds great. Alternatively, if you happen to be set on having a grand piano at your venue, I can arrange the hire of this for an extra fee.
Q Do you have public liability insurance?
A I do have public liabilty insurance and can provide the cert by email if needs be.
Q Can you accompany a singer or instrumentalist we are having at our ceremony?
A I have accompanied singers and musicians on many occasions so this isn’t a problem. The only thing I would say is that I am unable to rehearse before the day of the event. If the singer or instrumentalist is a professional and we both know the music or have the sheet music beforehand, it shouldn’t be an issue.
Q Our wedding is in the summer and we would like our drinks reception outdoors. Are you ok with playing outside?
A I love playing the piano outdoors, especially on a nice summer’s day. I have my own electronic stage piano, speaker and PA system therefore so long as there is a power outlet near, and it’s not lashing rain, it’s sunshine and music.
